GOLD Cat Friendly Clinic

Cat Friendly Clinic is a worldwide programme from the International Society of Feline Medicine, the veterinary division of the charity International Cat Care.

Established in 2012, the programme recognises that because of their unique nature and needs, taking cats to the veterinary clinic can be very stressful, both for cats and their owners. This programme is designed to help address these issues by creating more cat friendly veterinary clinics and so reducing the stress for cats and making veterinary visits easier for caregivers as well.

Here at Magill Village Vet are a GOLD Cat Friendly Clinic.

By creating a feline friendly environment we believe that we can:

• Reduce the fear and anxiety that our feline patients suffer when visiting.
• Provide better lifelong healthcare for our feline patients.
• Provide a more relaxing experience for family members and reduce anxiety levels.
• Reduce the injuries that our feline patients inflict on their family members and healthcare team when they are distressed.

Our new Magill Village Vet facility has been designed and built to the standard required to meet ASAV Hospital Accreditation, and we have been assessed as meeting the criteria by a Hospital Inspector
